Machine Profile Tractor

Machine Profile settings are important for accurate performance of John Deere AMS applications, such as AutoTrac and Section Control.

Items accessible on the Machine Profile page:

NOTE: Some items may not be displayed. Machine Profile settings are determined by the machine control unit and only required settings are shown.

Profile Name

NOTE: If display detects machine, some information is automatically set by machine control units.

Profile name, machine type, and serial number are displayed on General tab.

Machine Offsets

Front Axle

Measure from the articulation point to center of the front axle. Articulation point is the pivoting point of machine when making a turn.

Rear Axle

Measure from the articulation point to center of the rear axle. Articulation point is the pivoting point of machine when making a turn.

GPS Offsets

Lateral Offset

Lateral offset is the lateral distance from center point of the machine to center point of the GPS receiver.

The following applications require Lateral Offset setting:

In-line Offset

In-line offset is the in-line distance from fixed axle to the GPS receiver.

NOTE: Track tractors require two measurements for in-line offset. Measure from the center of the GPS receiver to the center of rotation and from the center of rotation to the rear axle.

The following applications require In-line Offset setting:

Height Offset

Height offset measures the vertical distance from the GPS receiver to the ground. Measure from the top of green portion of GPS receiver to ground.

Dimensions

Dimensions are provided by the machine and cannot be edited. The following measurements are populated by the machine:

Turn Dimensions

Wheelbase

Wheelbase is the distance between the front and rear axle.

Instructions for measuring Wheelbase

Minimum Turn Radius

Minimum turn radius is half the distance of the smallest circular turn the machine is capable of making.

Connection Offsets

Connection offset measures in-line distance from center of rear axle to connection point. Connection point is location where implement connects to machine.

Connection type, or hitch, describes how implement is attached to machine and controls how display determines implement movement behind the machine.

Connection offsets only need to be entered for connection types that are used.

NOTE: Connection offset measurement for articulated tractors is different from GreenStar 3 2630 Display measurement.

NOTE: Rear 2-Point connection type offset from GreenStar 2630 Display is replaced by Rear 3-Point offset and a pivot offset in Implement Profiles.

The following applications require connection offset settings:
