Sharing

Use the Sharing application to view requirements for In-Field Data Sharing. Data sharing allows up to six operators to share guidance lines and data while working in the same field. To join a team, operators navigate to the work list tab in the Work Setup application. To share guidance lines, the operator navigates to the AutoTrac Guidance application.

Shared work data is sent and received in 30-second segments. Including data transfer, a display typically receives updates to coverage from group members every 30 seconds. The position of group members updates every 6 seconds.

NOTE: Data transfer times vary depending on the strength of the wireless connection.

When Sharing application is enabled, the following information is shared between displays:

Coverage, overlap, shared coverage, and shared overlap are displayed using unique colors. Shared coverage maps are only visible within the AutoTrac Guidance and Mapping applications.

NOTE: Coverage maps can be shared between machines that are using a single Section Control-capable liquid application operation and are applying different products or tank mixes. The system does not automatically join the group. The operator must manually join the other machines by selecting the appropriate work group from the shared work list.

Items available on the Sharing main page:

Active Work Group

Active work group displays the work ID, client, farm, field, operation, product or crop type, and the number of active operators in the work group.

NOTE: The number of active operators may differ from the number of group members. The list of active operators does not include team members that have not done work or have lost cellular coverage for 10 minutes.

Status

Status displays the requirements to use sharing.

A green check mark icon indicates a fulfilled requirement.

A circled exclamation mark icon indicates an unfulfilled requirement.

Requirements

NOTE: For optimal performance, the same software versions should be installed on all displays and on all modular telematics gateways (MTGs).

Sharing machine position and guidance lines:

NOTE: For best results, use a correction level of SF2 or better. Using SF1 signal can negatively affect AutoTrac and Section Control performance by causing undesired shifts to shared guidance tracks and shared coverage.

Additional Requirements for sharing coverage maps and work data:

NOTE: If tank mixes or prescriptions are used, operators must use the same tank mix or prescription.
