Manual guidance, or parallel tracking, enables the operator to steer manually along guidance tracks using the on-screen lightbar, map, and audible tones. A StarFire Receiver is required to operate manual guidance. Parallel tracking displays the machine position relative to a track based on the first pass through the field. Parallel tracking modes follow a straight or curve track. Use the machine icon, lightbar, and guidance line on the display to steer parallel paths. Audible alerts let an operator focus on the field.
AutoTrac is an assisted steering system that steers the machine through the field. To operate, AutoTrac requires a StarFire Receiver and an integrated steering system on the machine. After the operator creates a guidance line (Track 0), the machine is able to steer itself parallel to the track if all conditions are met.

Use the AutoTrac Guidance application to:
Set up a guidance track.
Change track width.
Adjust settings to improve guidance performance.
Engage AutoTrac.
View exit codes.
AutoTrac RowSense is an enhancement to integrated AutoTrac when harvesting corn, cultivating between rows, or applying product. Signals provided by row sensors or vision sensors are integrated with existing AutoTrac signals to keep the machine on the rows. When there is no signal from the row sensors (driving through a waterway), normal global positioning system (GPS) guidance is used.
AutoTrac RowSense works with all tracking methods and most standard harvesting and application patterns. All tracking modes are set up the same way as they are with GPS-based AutoTrac.
Implement Guidance Lightbar is a visual tool used to verify implement position during AutoTrac operation. To operate, Implement Guidance Lightbar requires a StarFire Receiver installed on the implement. Add the Implement Guidance Lightbar run page module using Layout Manager.
NOTE: Guided Line Acquisition requires an AutoTrac 2.0 control unit. Verify the control unit type on the AutoTrac Health page.
NOTE: Guided Line Acquisition is not available for all machines.
Guided Line Acquisition displays a white dotted line that represents the most efficient way to guide the machine onto the guidance line. The path to the guidance line is determined by the speed, machine position, wheel angle, and heading at the time that the resume switch is selected. The dotted line continuously updates as the machine moves with AutoTrac in the Configured (2/4 pie) or Enabled (3/4 pie) state. When the machine acquires the guidance line, the dotted line disappears.
NOTE: Guided Line Acquisition does not work while operating in reverse.
GREEN FIT is capable of low-speed AutoTrac operation. Before enabling low speed capability, the machine must drive more than 100 m (330 ft) at a speed over 0.5 km/h (0.3 mph) with AutoTrac disabled.
(Refer to the GREEN FIT Installation Instruction for more information.)
