Row Cleaners

Row Cleaners provides control of the easy-adjust row cleaners.

NOTE: Avoid adversely affecting the downforce on the row units. Do not set the row cleaner down pressure too high. Perform an in-field check after row cleaner adjustments to verify that seed placement is not affected.

Items Accessible on Row Cleaners Page:

CAUTION: Avoid injury from row cleaner movement. Verify that everyone is clear of the row cleaners before turning them ON/OFF or before making adjustments.

NOTE: See Row Cleaners in Advanced Settings to turn the row cleaners ON/OFF.

Advanced Settings

Presets— allow quick adjustment to three positions. Select a preset that clears field residue to the degree that you prefer.

Presets

NOTE: Adjusting any pressure value automatically stores the change for the preset that is selected. See Row Cleaners in Advanced Settings to reset the values to default.

Row Cleaners— displays the current position and status of the row cleaners. Select the Row Cleaners screen area to view additional details about the Status.

Row Cleaners

Raise/Lower— changes the position of the row cleaner between raised (inactive) and lowered (active). Select the toggle button to change the position.

Raise/Lower Toggle

NOTE: If row cleaners are not being used, raise the row cleaners and pin them in position. (For more information, see the implement Operator's Manual.)

IMPORTANT: Changing the up pressure and the down pressure by the same increment adjusts the rigidity while maintaining position. Changing down pressure and up pressure values separately has a combined effect on position and rigidity. See the Position page for some examples.

Wings, Center, and Up Pressure Setting— displays the target pressure (top number) and actual pressure (bottom number) on the row cleaners. The row cleaners on the wings and center frame are independently adjustable unless you synchronize them. Select the screen area under Wings, Center, and Up Pressure to adjust the target pressure and to change the synchronization.

Setting

NOTE: An up arrow or down arrow appears next to the actual pressure when the system is altering the pressure. The status indicator changes color until the value reaches the acceptable range.

NOTE: Up Pressure only appears when you have Up Pressure Adjustment enabled in Advanced Settings.
