AutoPath

AutoPath uses recorded operation data, machine offsets, and track spacing to create guidance lines for subsequent operations in that field. AutoPath reduces guesswork and operator input needed to accurately navigate through standing crops. AutoPath lines reduce setup time, wrong guess rows, and crop damage from inaccurate guidance setup.

Before using AutoPath, confirm machine, implement, and display setups are complete.

Source Operation Requirements

The source operation is the recorded operation that is used to generate AutoPath lines.

NOTE: The accuracy of AutoPath lines depends on the accuracy of the source operation data. When recording the source operation, an implement receiver is required, and it is recommended to use either active implement guidance or AutoTrac implement guidance.

NOTE: Verify that the TCM is calibrated on all receivers (machine and implement).

Compatible source operations are planting, tillage, and product application.

NOTE: In order to use product application as the source operation, product application must be performed using an implement equipped with an implement receiver.

If the source operation does not include row data, any subsequent operation in that field, such as planting, product application, or harvesting, must contain defined rows in order for AutoPath to generate guidance lines.

Source operation data sent to John Deere Operations Center must be recorded using:

NOTE: Shared signal can be used to record data.

NOTE: Display must have software version 10.10.xxx or newer.

Compatible implements:

AutoPath Usage Requirements

NOTE: For optimal performance, use the same signal level that was used to record the source operation.

NOTE: AutoPath does not support perennial crops.

Machine-Specific Requirements

Generating AutoPath

NOTE: Only one AutoPath file can be imported per field. If a second AutoPath file is imported, the older file is overwritten.

NOTE: AutoPath files cannot be exported from the display.

NOTE: In order for AutoTrac Turn Automation to generate a turn when using AutoPath, the next path must be within 45° of the current path, and both the current path and the next path must intersect with a headland boundary.

Before using AutoPath guidance lines, import AutoPath line data from John Deere Operations Center. AutoPath line data is included in the setup file.

From the Guidance Track List, select AutoPath to create guidance lines. Once the AutoPath lines are generated, the date and type of the source operation are displayed. On the map, guidance lines are displayed in blue and rows are displayed in yellow.

AutoPath lines extend 20 m (66 ft) past the end of the row and connect across waterways up to 50 m (164 ft).
