Select the import method to transfer the desired data types.
|
Import from USB Drive - Select folders on the USB drive that contain data to be imported. |
|
NOTE: Setup files cannot be imported from a USB drive while AutoTrac is engaged.
NOTE: After importing a license file, view the status of the license in Software Manager.
|
Import Received Files - Import setup and prescription files from John Deere Operations Center. |
|
Importing files from John Deere Operations Center requires either an active MTG, built-in Wi-Fi with internet access (4640 only), or a wireless USB adapter with internet access.
After setup files and prescriptions are imported to the display, use Work Setup to apply the file.
NOTE: Setup files containing planned work files are automatically imported when received from John Deere Operations Center when Auto-Import is enabled.
Data can be transferred from another G5 Display, Generation 4 Display, compatible desktop software, or John Deere Operations Center in the Current System format. 25.3 and newer software cannot import or export files in the Legacy System format.
Current System Displays: G5, G5e, G5Plus, 4600 V2, 4200 V2, 4640, 4240
Legacy System Displays: 4600 V1, 4200 V1, 4100, GreenStar 3 2630
John Deere Operations Center does not support the ability to view, send, or receive run pages. If a setup file only contains run pages, the file displays as invalid in John Deere Operations Center. If a setup file contains guidance lines or boundaries along with run pages, the setup file loads correctly, though run pages are not viewable.
Setup files from Apex or a Legacy System Display cannot be imported directly to a Generation 4 or G5 Display after the 25.3 software update. In order to import files from these devices, they must be uploaded to Operations Center first and a setup file must be created in the Current System Display format.
Imported fields must include an exterior boundary when an interior boundary is imported. An interior boundary cannot be created or imported in the display without an exterior boundary first being created or imported.
NOTE: In order to successfully import complete implement profiles from another display, ensure that the source display is operating on 25.3 software or newer.
When necessary, imported client, farm, and field names are changed. For example, "Field1" is renamed "Field1(1)."
When work data from fields with names exceeding 20 characters have been exported into John Deere Operations Center, the names display correctly. When importing the data back to the display, the field name is shortened. The data is recognized as data belonging to the field originally exported from the display.
If guidance lines are in the same field and created with the same tracking method, the display handles the following conflicts:
Different Name, Same Line
If lines are the same, name of guidance line on display is replaced by name on USB drive.
Same Name, Different Line
If there are two different lines with the same name, line on USB drive is renamed when imported. For example, "Track1" is renamed "Track1(1)."
Prescriptions
To import prescriptions, the shapefiles must be located in a folder named Rx on the root of the USB drive.
NOTE: A file may fail to import for multiple reasons. To determine which file is causing problems, remove individual files from USB drive and attempt to import remaining files.
