Acquiring GPS Signal

While acquiring GPS signal, white bar cycles across indicator and alert icon flashes.

GPS Status

A solid satellite icon is displayed when GPS signal is acquired.

A flashing alert icon is displayed:

  • While acquiring GPS signal.

  • With poor SF2, SF3, or SF-RTK signal.

  • When RTK-X has expired.

Notes: "- - -" is displayed while acquiring GPS signal.

WAAS is available in North America only. EGNOS is available in Europe only.

SF2 is available on StarFire 3000 Receivers.

SF3 is available on StarFire 6000 Receivers.

SF-RTK is available on StarFire 7000 Receivers.

"GPS" is displayed when a third-party receiver has acquired signal.

When Shared Signal is in use, the lower correction mode is displayed.

Signal Strength

RTK

Signal strength indicates RTK signal received from base station.

RTK Extend allows AutoTrac to keep functioning when receiver loses line-of-sight to base station. See Extend Mode for more information.

SF2, SF3, or SF-RTK

Full accuracy. Ideal for row-crop applications.

Acceptable for non row-crop guidance applications, including tillage, air seeding, and broad-acre spraying.

Marginal accuracy.

SF1, WAAS, EGNOS

Acceptable for non row-crop guidance applications, including tillage, air seeding, and broad-acre spraying.

Marginal accuracy.

Third-Party Receiver

A solid bar indicates GPS signal is available. No accuracy information is provided.

NOTE: When Shared Signal is in use, the weaker signal strength is displayed.

Receiver Communication Lost

Flashing receiver and alert icons are displayed when communication with GPS receiver is lost.
