If communication between base station and machine radio is lost, the machine receiver will automatically switch to Extend Mode and will maintain RTK accuracy for a period of time.
If base station communication is not re-established after Extend period, receiver will default to WAAS in North America, or NO DIFF where WAAS is not available. To re-establish communication, move machine to a location where line of sight to base station can be established.
If base station has been receiving SF2 signal for less than 1 hour, RTK-X timeout can vary from 2–15 minutes based on the accuracy of the SF2 solution of the base station. As base station solution pulls in, more RTK-X time will be allowed.
After base station has been receiving SF2 signal for 1 hour, machine receiver will have 15 minutes of RTK-X after radio communication is lost.
When RTK-X is enabled and the machine receiver has been operating with RTK signal for at least 2 minutes, RTK-X is available for up to 14 days if RTK signal is lost. After 14 days, the position mode transitions to WAAS, EGNOS, or 3D-None. When the machine receiver reconnects to a base station, RTK-X is available for another 14 days.
