CANBUS State and Error Counts

Four CANBUS states are possible:

If one of these errors occurs, display records number of times that it happens.

Passive Error Count

BUS Warn Count

BUS Off Count

Additionally, display records Overrun Error Count.

Passive Error Count

If value counts up higher than zero, a controller on CANBUS did not receive all messages. Important information might have been lost.

This is most likely due to high CANBUS Utilization.

Check wiring and connectors for connection problems. If there are no wiring problems, perform a cold boot. If problem persists, contact a John Deere dealer.

BUS Warn Count

If value counts up higher than zero, a controller on CANBUS has issues.

Check wiring and connectors for connection problems. If there are no wiring problems, perform a cold boot. If problem persists, contact a John Deere dealer.

BUS Off Count

If value counts up higher than zero, a controller on CANBUS has issues. It missed a certain number of messages and does not receive messages anymore. Important information has been lost.

It most likely occurs in combination with high CANBUS Utilization.

Check wiring and connectors for connection problems. If there are no wiring problems, perform a cold boot. If problem persists, contact a John Deere dealer.

Overrun Error Count

Overrun Error Count indicates that applications or controllers on CANBUS receive messages faster than they can process them. This results in missing messages and malfunction of the system.

It will most likely occurs in combination with high CANBUS Utilization.

Check wiring and connectors for connection problems. If there are no wiring problems, perform a cold boot. If problem persists, contact your dealer.
