John Deere Rate Controller 2000

NOTE: Set up John Deere Rate Controller 2000 in ISOBUS VT before configuring Implement Profile settings.

When a John Deere Rate Controller 2000 is connected, the control unit automatically sets some Implement Profile settings. Refer to Implement Profile Overview for additional theory of operation.

When controlling multiple operations that share sections, if a section is shut off for one operation, that section is shut off for all other operations.

To complete setup, enter the following information:

Working Width

Working width is the width of the area worked (tilled, planted, sprayed, or harvested) on a single pass through the field. For example, on a chisel plow measure the distance between each outside chisel, shovel, or sweep. Select either Meters (or Feet) or Rows and enter measurements.

Work Point

Work Point is the in-line distance from the implement connection point to the point where the operation occurs. Examples are where seed or product is dropped, a crop is harvested, or ground is tilled.

Mechanical Delay

Mechanical delay is the average time for the product to reach the ground after an on or off command. It may need to change with each machine, implement, and display combination.
