Machine to Wireless connects the machine to a wireless network using the modular telematics gateway (MTG) or a wireless USB adapter.
An MTG control unit on the machine can connect to an internet source using either cellular signal or a wireless network.
NOTE: When setting up a wireless network using the MTG, only channels 1—11 in the 2.4 GHz band are available.
A wireless USB adapter is an external device that provides access to an internet source. Contact your John Deere dealer for a list of compatible wireless USB adapters.
NOTE: Wireless USB adapter range varies between manufacturers. Check the individual specifications for more details.
When using the MTG and a wireless USB adapter, the display prioritizes the MTG as the primary internet source.
NOTE: If connecting to a mobile hotspot, ensure that the hotspot is configured to use IPv4 APN protocol. Registering the display to John Deere Operation Center requires IPv4.
