Health tab (StarFire 7000 and 7500 Receivers)

Health tab has graphed global navigation satellite system (GNSS) data, logged over the previous 60 minutes.

System Performance

A general look at the health of the StarFire Receiver.

PDOP (Position Dilution of Precision)

PDOP (Position Dilution of Precision) combines vertical and horizontal error (or three dimensional). Lower PDOP is better. A value below 2 is considered optimal.

Satellites Used

Satellites Used is the number of satellites the receiver uses in the current position solution. Satellites are not used in solution until they get above 5 degrees elevation mask.

GNSS Signal (%)

GNSS Signal % is a qualitative metric for measurements from ranging satellites in the sky. Shading or jamming can drop the level below 100%.

Differential Mode

Differential Mode shows the level of differential signal that receiver has received over past 60 minutes. Level of signal purchased on receiver determines highest point on bar graph.

SF Signal Quality

SF Signal Quality is the strength of StarFire network signal. Normal range is from 5 to 15, but maximum reading on indicator is 10. Numerical value is displayed to right of indicator. Any value above 5 is normal.

GPS Accuracy

GPS Accuracy is a relative indication of overall differential GNSS performance.

High AGC

High automatic gain control (AGC) is a voltage-controlled amplifier that amplifies or lowers the volume of the received signal for high-band frequencies.

Low AGC

Low automatic gain control (AGC) is a voltage-controlled amplifier that amplifies or lowers the volume of the received signal for low-band frequencies.
