Diagnostics | Height-Drives

Diagnostics | Height-Drives allow you to configure the height-drives sensor to start and stop at different points in the raise and lower cycle.

Status Indicators:

Current Height— indicates the implement height and moves along the slide bar as the implement is raised and lowered.

Start Height— indicates the position where the seed meter motors start.

Stop Height— indicates the position where the seed meter motors stop.

Minimum: 0% - Fully lowered

Default: Start Height 50%

Default: Stop Height 25%

Maximum: 100% - Fully raised

Seeds are on the soil surface when raising the implement at the ends of the field: reduce the Stop Height set point.
Seeds are on the soil surface when lowering the implement at the ends of the field: reduce the Start Height set point.
Skips occur when raising the implement at the ends of the field: increase the Stop Height set point.
Skips occur when lowering the implement at the ends of the field: increase the Start Height set point.

Configure the implement for field operation.
Park in an area where the seed furrow openers can penetrate the soil to represent the planting position.

Perform a sensor calibration if any adjustments have been made to the sensor or to the implement configuration. Select Calibration and follow the on-screen instructions.

Calibration

Lower the implement to the plant position. Observe the Current Height indicator.

Current Height

Raise the implement to the position that you want the seed meter motors to turn off. The recommended position is just as the gauge wheels lose contact with the soil.

NOTE: Settings below 20% are not recommended.

NOTE: The percentage shown on the Set button mirrors the frame position.

Stop Height

Current Height

Lower the frame to the position that you want the seed meter motors to activate. The recommended position is just as the seed furrow openers contact the soil.

NOTE: The percentage shown on the Set button mirrors the frame position.

Start Height

To make small adjustments to the set point without changing the height of the implement, select either the Start Height or Stop Height input box and enter a value for the implement position.
