Section Status Module

Section status module is used to determine if Section Control has commanded each section ON or OFF. The module can be added to a run page using Layout Manager.

The following section states are possible:

Section Disabled (Not Applying)

  • Section Control is disabled.

  • Section is manually controlled.

Section Enabled (Not Applying)

  • See & Spray is enabled, Section Control is not commanding OFF, and no green is detected by the See & Spray system.

  • Planter or air seeder tool is raised.

  • Planter or air seeder clutches are turned OFF.

  • A rate of zero is reported from all sections across a drive motor.

  • See & Spray is enabled, Section Control is not commanding OFF, and green is detected by the See & Spray system.

  • Section is commanded ON.

  • Section is applying product or seed.

NOTE: Review the coverage map to determine which scenario caused the section status to turn green.

Section Commanded OFF (Not Applying)

NOTE: Section status overlay provides only one reason that the section is OFF, even if there are multiple reasons preventing an ON command. The overlay provides the highest priority reason.

Possible reasons for an OFF command, listed from highest to lowest priority:

    • Low speed (below minimum ground speed threshold)

    • Interior headland boundary

    • Exterior headland boundary

    • Interior boundary

    • Exterior boundary

    • Prescription zero rate

    • Coverage

  • Section is indexed OFF by the control unit.

NOTE: Section status does not change based on the section seed rate. If the rows in a section are out of seed, green is displayed unless all sections across a drive motor have a rate of zero. Check seed populations using SeedStar.

NOTE: Minimum ground speed threshold is 0.8 km/h (0.5 mph).
