Port Information displays status and details for the devices connected to the ports on the Ethernet switch device.
Device Name - The Ethernet switch name.
Port - The LED status shows green when active and red when there is an error. The title matches the port callout on the switch housing.
MAC Address - The address assigned for the manufacturer.
IP Address - The assigned or static IP address for the device.
Link Status - Value is either 1 or 0.
1 - Connected / Up
0 - Disconnected / Down
Transmit Frames - Frames received since display booted up (warm or cold). This indicates whether the device is receiving frames through Ethernet.
Good Received Frames - The number of valid frames received by the specific port on the switch.
Transmit Error Frames – The number of error frames divided by the number of attempts. An increase in transmit error frames may cause system functionality problems.
Select Calibrations tab and access ports J1 through J10 to initiate cable diagnostics. The results can be used to determine cable integrity and length, and can diagnose potential cable and connection problems.
