Ethernet Information

Ethernet Information displays information about the Ethernet connection between the display and the control unit.

Select the Refresh Device Connectivity button to check device connectivity.

IP Address - The assigned or static IP address that the display is using.

The address identifies how to communicate with the device using a wired or wireless setting.

A missing address might indicate a CAN issue with the Ethernet device since it is unable to communicate an IP address back to the display.

Mac Address - The media access control (MAC) address is static for most applications and won't change.

A MAC address is a unique identifier assigned to a network interface controller for use as a network address in communications within a network segment. This use is common in most IEEE 802 networking technologies, including Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.

The address can be used to identify the manufacturer of the device. If a device does not report a MAC address, this might indicate that there is an internal hardware fault.

Controller State - Status of the Ethernet connection with the device.

Connected / Up - Link pulses detected through the Ethernet cable.

Disconnected / Down - No Link pulses detected through the Ethernet cable.

Gateway IP Address - Machine gateway address.

DHCP Status - Value is either 1 or 0.

1 - DHCP is enabled.

0 - A static IP address is used.

Logical Address - DoIP address for the Ethernet device.

Subnet Mask ID - Network mask identification.

UDS Version - Device version information of Unified Diagnostic Services standard.

DoIP Protocol Version Year - Device version information of Diagnostics over Internet Protocol standard.

Active Diagnostics Session - State of the Diagnostics Session.
