NOTE: Adjust Steering Sensitivity before adjusting other settings. It is important to have Steering Sensitivity at an acceptable value before adjusting other values.
Tractors: Between 70—120
Adjust Steering Response Rate down until an acceptable amount of wheel motion exists. Adjust in increments of 10.
Tune speed by operating parallel to and 1.2 m (4 ft) off the AB line.
Engage AutoTrac and observe performance.
While tuning, adjust in increments of 10.
If performance is still not satisfactory, continue to step 2.
Use the steps below to increase Line Sensitivity—Heading and / or Line Sensitivity—Tracking. Adjust Line Sensitivity—Heading in increments of 10 and Line Sensitivity—Tracking in increments of 20.
NOTE: During step 2, adjusting values too low can compromise AutoTrac accuracy because this responsiveness determines how quickly the system can compensate for off-track error.
NOTE: Adjustment increments are recommendations and can be changed to fine-tune system.
Tune Line Sensitivity—Heading while operating on the AB line.
If the front of the machine wanders too far from the track direction, adjust Line Sensitivity—Heading higher.
If the machine becomes unstable, adjust Line Sensitivity—Heading lower.
Tune Line Sensitivity—Tracking while operating on the AB line.
If the machine wanders too far from the AB line, adjust Line Sensitivity—Tracking higher.
If the machine becomes unstable around the AB line, adjust Line Sensitivity—Tracking lower.
